During a gala evening on 25 September, Iris Gleicke, Parliamentary Undersecretary in the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, handed over this year’s Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany. It is the country’s most prestigious design prize, which is awarded for excellence in the categories of product and communication design, newcomers and lifetime achievement.
Mutabor was honoured with a silver medal for the design concept “125 years of Hamburger Sport-Verein (HSV)”.
The prize was awarded in gold and silver to a total of eight designers in the product and communication categories.
The German Design Award is the highest distinction for outstanding design in Germany. It is the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy’s principal means of promoting design and has been awarded annually since 1969. This year, the prize was awarded in Berlin for the third time and in the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy for the second time.
